Code Completion

The Code Completion tool is particularly helpful in completing HTML and PHP code lines.

1. Click on the Code Completion button on the vertical toolbar.

Using the Code Completion tool

Leaving the Code Completion tool activated will not hinder you in your work. To use it:

1. Begin at the tag where you have code left to insert.

2. Press on the shortcut key CTRL + Escape.
   A dropdown list is displayed at the insertion point. Your position in the list corresponds to the first letters of the code.  
   To display the entire list, insert only one bracket in the Edit Window.

3. View list contents with the scroll bar.  

4. Double-click on the desired tag to insert it. The entire code composition is inserted.

5. Enable the option Show Tooltips when Clipped.  

You can set the display delay in the General Preferences.
